Barnacle Systems is heading to CES for a second straight year

For the second year in a row, Barnacle Systems will be heading to the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas January 7-10, 2020. Barnacle will once again be exhibiting in the Canadian Pavilion as a Delegate of Canada. “It’s an honour and a privilege once again to represent Canada at CES 2020,” explains Barnacle Systems’ CEO, Brandon Wright, “we are thrilled to be on the global stage once again alongside world-renowned brands such as Google, Amazon, GoPro, etc.”

Their product BRNKL (pronounced ‘barnacle’), is like a ‘home security system for your boat’. BRNKL allows users to check in on their vessel from anywhere in the world from their smartphone, tablet or computer. The team at Barnacle is very excited for this year’s show as they will be launching a brand new product that will further increase BRNKL’s capabilities for their customer base as well as function as a stand-alone product. Also, Barnacle will announce their new partnership with a global leader in smart home technologies that will further bridge the gap between the smart home and the smart boat.

Following Barnacle to CES and representing the marine industry this year will be Brunswick Corporation. “Brunswick is a giant in the marine industry. It speaks volumes about how large boating brands are embracing smart technologies in the marine space and wanting to show them off to the world,” says Barnacle Systems, Director of Engineering, Darren Beckwith.

Wright and Beckwith will both be representing Barnacle Systems at CES 2020. Barnacle can be found at exhibiting at the Las Vegas Convention Centre, South Hall, at the Canadian Pavilion (Booth #35826).

About Barnacle Systems

Barnacle Systems Inc. is a security and monitoring company based in Victoria, BC, Canada. The team at Barnacle has developed an innovative new surveillance product, BRNKL, for boat owners who need to be able to check in on their vessel remotely from their smartphone, tablet, or computer. Like a “home security system for your boat”, users can see inside of their vessel using an on board camera while also monitoring critical alerts such as anchor drag, low batteries, loss of shore power and high-water. Unlike standard marine electronics that provide monitoring while on board, Barnacle Systems provides a global cellular service for remote monitoring. Whether you’re at the dock, at home, or halfway around the world your boat is at your fingertips.
